عقدت الدكتورة منال عوض وزيرة التنمية المحلية والقائم بأعمال وزير البيئة اجتماع مع ممثلي شركة سكاتيك للطاقة المتجددة، لمناقشة إجراءات تنفيذ مشروع محطة توليد الكهرباء من طاقة الرياح بشدوان بمنطقة جبل الزيت بالبحر الاحمر بقدرة ٩٠٠ ميجا وات، بما لا يتعارض مع المناطق الحمراء لمسارات الطيور المهاجرة في المنطقة التي تعد ضمن ثاني أهم مسار الهجرة الطيور الحوامة على مستوى العالم، وذلك بحضور المهندس شريف عبد الرحيم مساعد الوزيرة للسياسات المناخية والمهندسة نسرين الباز رئيس قطاع الإدارة البيئية والدكتور صابر عثمان رئيس الإدارة المركزية للتغيرات المناخية.
وفي بداية الاجتماع، أشادت د. منال عوض بمشروع “أوبيليسك” للطاقة الشمسية بقدرة 500 ميجا وات في نجع حمادي بمحافظة قنا التابع للشركة والذي افتتحه مؤخرا الدكتور مصطفى مدبولى دولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء باعتباره احد المشروعات التي تساهم في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة المنشودة ودعم مسار مصر نحو التحول الأخضر، معربة عن تطلعها للتعاون المشترك في تنفيذ مشروعات مستقبلية مماثلة لدعم التوسع في الطاقة الخضراء والجديدة والمتجددة في مصر.
واستمعت الدكتورة منال عوض لعرض الشركة حول مشروع محطة توليد الكهرباء من طاقة الرياح بشدوان بقدرة ٩٠٠ ميجا وات بمنطقة جبل الزيت بالبحر الاحمر، ودراسة تقييم الأثر البيئي التي تقدمت بها الشركة للمشروع إلى جهاز شئون البيئة للحصول على الموافقة البيئية.
وشددت د. منال عوض خلال الإجتماع على ضرورة عدم تعارض تنفيذ المشروع مع المسارات الأساسية للطيور المهاجرة، مؤكدة ان وزارة البيئة تعد دراسة استراتيجية لمسارات هجرة الطيور من خلال شركة متخصصة بالتعاون مع جهات دولية مختلفة، لتحديد الأماكن الحمراء الممنوع فيها إقامة اي مشروعات تتعارض مع مسارات الطيور المهاجرة .
ووجهت وزيرة التنمية المحلية والقائم بأعمال وزير البيئة بسرعة مراجعة الدراسة والتأكد من استيفاء كافة الاشتراطات البيئية وضمان سلامة الطيور المهاجرة بالمنطقة والتنوع البيولوجي، وإصدار الموافقة البيئية لتنفيذ المشروع في حال استيفاء كافة الاشتراطات، خاصة انه يعد مشروعا تنمويا يهدف إلى توطين صناعة توربينات الرياح في مصر، بما يتماشى مع توجيهات القيادة السياسية بتوطين الصناعة، كما يساهم في التوسع في انتاج الطاقة المتجددة في اطار هدف مصر في خطط مساهماتها الوطنية بالوصول إلى ٤٢٪ طاقة متجددة في خليط الطاقة بحلول ٢٠٣٠.
وقد استعرض ممثلو الشركة المشروعات المنفذة والمزمع تنفيذها خلال الفترة القادمة في مجال الطاقة الخضراء، في اطار تطوير الشراكات العالمية لتعزيز الاقتصاد المصري من خلال دعم قطاع الطاقة وتوطين الصناعة، حيث تهدف الشركة المساهمة في تحقيق الهدف الوطني لمصر المتمثل في الوصول إلى نسبة 42% من الطاقة المتجددة بحلول عام 2030، ودعم تحويل مصر إلى مركز إقليمي لإنتاج وتصدير الهيدروجين الأخضر والأمونيا الخضراء، وتطوير أول مشروع في أفريقيا والشرق الأوسط لتوفير طاقة خضراء مستدامة على مدار الساعة، بالإضافة إلى ضمان التحول الأخضر لقطاع الكهرباء وتوطين بطاريات تخزين الطاقة.
