نجح فريق طبي بوحدة الجراحات الميكروسكوبية بمستشفي جامعة سوهاج في إنقاذ شاب يبلغ من العمر ٢٦ عامًا، مصابًا ببتر كامل في إصبع الإبهام لليد اليمنى، وقطع كامل بالشرايين والأوردة، إثر التعدي عليه بسلاح أبيض (ساطور)، صرح بذلك الدكتور حسان النعماني رئيس جامعة سوهاج.
وأكد النعماني أن هذا النجاح يعكس ما تمتلكه مستشفيات جامعة سوهاج من كوادر طبية متميزة وتجهيزات متقدمة، وقدرتها على التعامل مع أدق وأصعب الحالات الطارئة، مشيدًا بسرعة الاستجابة والتدخل الفوري الذي كان له دور حاسم في إنقاذ الاصبع المصاب وإعادته لوظيفته.
ومن جانبه أوضح الدكتور مجدي القاضي عميد كلية الطب البشري ورئيس مجلس إدارة المستشفيات الجامعية، أن الفريق الطبي نجح في إعادة زرع إصبع الإبهام باستخدام جراحة ميكروسكوبية دقيقة استغرقت نحو 6 ساعات، تم خلالها توصيل الشرايين والأوردة والأعصاب المغذية للإصبع، بالإضافة إلى تثبيت عظام الإصبع باستخدام أسلاك معدنية، مما ساهم في استعادة الدورة الدموية واستقرار الحالة.
وأشار الدكتور أحمد كمال المدير التنفيذي للمستشفيات الجامعية، إلى أن العملية تُعد من العمليات الدقيقة والمعقدة التي تتطلب مهارة عالية وتكاملًا بين الفرق الطبية، مؤكدًا أن المستشفيات الجامعية لا تدخر جهدًا في توفير الدعم الكامل لإنجاح مثل هذه التدخلات الجراحية المتقدمة.
وفي السياق ذاته، أكد الدكتور ياسر عثمان مدير وحدة الجراحات الميكروسكوبية، أن الشرايين والأوردة والأعصاب استعادت وظائفها الحيوية، وأن الحالة تشافت واستقرت ولا توجد أي مضاعفات، مع استمرار المتابعة لضمان التعافي الكامل.
