حضر اللقاء الوزير المفوض فيصل غسال، مدير إدارة الشباب والرياضة بجامعة الدول العربية والمسؤول عن الأمانة الفنية لمجلس وزراء الشباب والرياضة العرب، والدكتور عمرو الحداد رئيس الإدارة المركزية للتنمية الرياضية بالوزارة وعضو اللجنة الفنية الرياضية المعاونة لمجلس وزراء الشباب والرياضة العرب.
تناول اللقاء الأنشطة الشبابية التي ينفذها مجلس وزراء الشباب والرياضة العرب، وقد حرص الدكتور أشرف صبحي على إطلاع السيد الأمين العام على خطة المجلس في وضع برامج وأنشطة شبابية متنوعة تواكب التطورات التكنولوجية المتسارعة، وتركز على كل ما يهم الشباب العربي من أجل بناء جيل عربي مؤهل لقيادة أمته.
وأكد وزير الشباب والرياضة أن مصر تولي اهتماماً كبيراً بدعم العمل العربي المشترك في مجالي الشباب والرياضة، انطلاقاً من دورها المحوري في المنطقة، مشيراً إلى أن التعاون العربي يمثل ضرورة ملحة لمواجهة التحديات وبناء مستقبل أفضل لشباب الأمة.
من جانبه، أعرب الأمين العام عن توفير كل الدعم لما يقوم به مجلس وزراء الشباب والرياضة العرب، مؤكداً ثقته فيما يبذله المجلس من جهود للاهتمام بقضايا شباب الوطن العربي، وفي القلب منهم الشباب الفلسطيني الذين يتعرضون لأقصى درجات الظلم، مشدداً على أن دعم كل ما يصب في مصلحة العمل العربي المشترك أصبح ضرورة أكثر إلحاحاً من أي وقت مضى.
وثمَّن الفريق جبريل الرجوب بدوره الدعم الكبير الذي يوليه المجلس لقضايا الشباب الفلسطيني، باعتبارهم مستقبل الدولة الفلسطينية وأحد ركائز الصمود في مواجهة التحديات، معرباً عن تقديره للدور الريادي الذي تقوم به مصر في قيادة دفة العمل العربي المشترك ودعم قضايا الأمة العربية.
