وتؤكد الجمعية أن تمثيل المرأة في البرلمان لم يعد حضورًا شكليًا أو تمثيلًا رمزيًا، بل أصبح ضرورة تفرضها متطلبات التنمية، وعدالة التمثيل، وبناء سياسات عامة أكثر استجابة لاحتياجات المجتمع ووجود المرأة تحت قبة البرلمان اليوم هو نتاج كفاءة وخبرة واستحقاق حقيقي.
وتشير البيانات الرسمية إلى تقدم ملموس في تمثيل المرأة في الحياة النيابية المصرية خلال السنوات الماضية. ففي البرلمانات السابقة قبل عام 2012 كانت نسبة تمثيل المرأة أقل من 2% من الإجمالي، مما يعكس محدودية مشاركتها السياسية في تلك الفترات.
ومع انتخابات 2010 ارتفعت النسبة إلى نحو 12.7%، ثم انخفضت في 2012 إلى حوالي 2% مجددًا.
وفي برلمان 2015، ومع تطبيق نظام (الكوتا)، ارتفعت نسبة تمثيل المرأة إلى حوالي 15% من مقاعد مجلس النواب، وهو أعلى مستوى حتى ذلك الوقت.
وشهدت انتخابات 2020 قفزة نوعية، حيث بلغت نسبة تمثيل المرأة في مجلس النواب نحو 27% من إجمالي المقاعد — أعلى نسبة في تاريخ المشاركة النسائية في الحياة النيابية المصرية.
ومع انتهاء انتخابات عام 2025/2026 وإعلان التعيينات الأخيرة من رئيس الجمهورية في مجلس النواب 2026، تم تعيين 28 عضوًا رئاسيًا في البرلمان، من بينهم 14 سيدة، أي أن 50% من المعينات كانوا من النساء، وبهذا تصل نسبه تمثيل المرأه 27% وهو مؤشر جديد يُسهم في رفع التمثيل البرلماني للمرأة ضمن آليات التعيين الرسمية.
وتؤكد جمعية نهوض وتنمية المرأة أن النائبات اللاتي تم اختيارهن يتمتعن بسجل مهني وخبرات راسخة وحضور مؤثر في مجالات تخصصهن، بما يجعل وجودهن قيمة مضافة حقيقية للعمل التشريعي والرقابي، ويسهم في طرح قضايا المجتمع بعمق ومسؤولية، خاصة القضايا المرتبطة بالحقوق الاجتماعية، والعدالة، والأسرة، والتنمية.
كما ترى الجمعية أن تعزيز تمثيل المرأة في البرلمان يسهم في بناء برلمان أكثر تنوعًا وتوازنًا، ويعكس بصورة أفضل واقع المجتمع المصري وتعدد فئاته، ويعزز من جودة التشريعات والسياسات العامة، ويقوي دور البرلمان في الرقابة والمساءلة.
وفي هذا الاطار، تتطلع جمعية نهوض وتنمية المرأة إلى أن تقوم النائبات بدور قوي ومسؤول في الدفاع عن الحقوق، والمشاركة الفاعلة في صياغة التشريعات، والمساهمة الجادة في صناعة القرار بما يخدم مصلحة مصر والمواطنين.
وتؤكد الجمعية أن تمكين المرأة سياسيًا سيظل أحد محاور عملها الأساسية، وأنها ستواصل دعم كل الجهود والسياسات التي تعزز مشاركة المرأة في الحياة العامة، باعتبارها شريكًا أصيلًا في بناء دولة عادلة وقادرة على مواجهة التحديات وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة.
