استقبل الدكتور أشرف صبحي وزير الشباب والرياضة، بعثة المنتخب الوطني المصري لكرة اليد، عقب عودته إلى أرض الوطن، بعد تتويجه بلقب بطولة أفريقيا لكرة اليد التي أُقيمت بدولة رواندا، في إنجاز جديد يُضاف إلى سجل الرياضة المصرية.
ويُعد هذا التتويج هو العاشر في تاريخ المنتخب الوطني المصري لكرة اليد، والرابع على التوالي، ليؤكد المنتخب هيمنته المطلقة على البطولات القارية، واستمراره في تربّع مصر على عرش كرة اليد الأفريقية عن جدارة واستحقاق.
وخلال الاستقبال، وجّه وزير الشباب والرياضة التهنئة للاعبين والجهاز الفني والإداري، مؤكدًا أن هذا الإنجاز يعكس الدعم الكامل والمتواصل من القيادة السياسية، بقيادة فخامة الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، وحرص الدولة المصرية على دعم الرياضة باعتبارها أحد محاور بناء الإنسان المصري.
وأكد الدكتور أشرف صبحي أن ما حققه المنتخب هو ثمرة تخطيط واستراتيجية واضحة، ودعم من القيادة السياسية مستمر للمنتخبات الوطنية، مشدداً على استمرار وزارة الشباب والرياضة في تقديم كافة أوجه الدعم من أجل مواصلة النجاحات وتحقيق المزيد من البطولات القارية والدولية، مشيراً إلى أن هذا الإنجاز يجسد المكانة الرائدة لكرة اليد المصرية، ويعزّز من طموحات الجماهير المصرية في مواصلة حصد الألقاب ورفع علم مصر في مختلف المحافل الدولية.
وأشار وزير الشباب والرياضة، أن تتويج منتخب مصر لكرة اليد بلقب بطولة أفريقيا للمرة العاشرة في تاريخه والرابعة على التوالي، يُعد إنجازاً تاريخياً جديداً يعكس قوة المنظومة الرياضية المصرية وما وصلت إليه كرة اليد من مكانة قارية رائدة.
وشدد وزير الشباب والرياضة على أن الوزارة ستواصل تقديم كل أوجه الدعم للمنتخبات الوطنية، تنفيذًا لتوجيهات القيادة السياسية، من أجل الحفاظ على المكتسبات الحالية ومواصلة حصد البطولات، مشيرًا إلى أن كرة اليد المصرية أصبحت نموذجًا يُحتذى به في الالتزام والاحتراف وتحقيق الإنجازات.
