أصدر الدكتور شريف فاروق، وزير التموين والتجارة الداخلية، مجموعة من القرارات في الوزارة، فى مقدمتها إعفاء الذين بلغوا سن المعاش بالوزارة منذ فترة، رافضا تنفيذ توصية الوزير السابق علي المصيلحى بالإبقاء على بعض المستشارين.
وتضمنت قرارات الدكتور شريف فاروق، إعفاء عاطف سعد، مستشار وزير التموين لشئون مكتبه.
وشهدت وزارة التموين ، خلال الفترة الماضية العديد من قضايا الفساد ضبطتها إدارة الرقابة الإدارية فى مقدمتها ضبط 9 موظفين في الوزارة كونوا تشكيلًا عصابيًا فيما بينهم لحجب السلع واحتكارها ورفع الأسعار، فضلًا عن الاستيلاء على المال العام، فيما يعرف بقضية مشروع جمعيتي .
