احتفلت دار نهضة مصر للنشر بإطلاق السيرة الذاتية للسفيرة مرفت تلاوي “امرأة من صعيد مصر”، بحضور الدكتورة مايا مرسي، وزيرة التضامن الاجتماعي، والدكتورة هالة السعيد وزيرة التخطيط السابقة، والدكتورة درية شرف الدين وزيرة الاعلام السابقة، والسفير محمد العرابي وزير الخارجية الاسبق، والدكتور سمير رضوان وزير المالية الاسبق، والمستشارة أمل عمار رئيسة المجلس القومي للمرأة وعدد من السفراء، وكبار الشخصيات العامة، وقيادات إعلامية بارزة، في أمسية ثقافية استثنائية احتفت بمسيرة وطنية ملهمة تمتد لعقود من العمل العام والدبلوماسي.
وأدار الندوة الحوارية الخاصة بمناقشة الكتاب الدكتور حسن سند، عميد كلية الحقوق بجامعة المنيا؛ حيث تناول مع السفيرة مرفت تلاوي أبرز محطات حياتها الشخصية والمهنية، وسلَّط الضوء على السياقات الاجتماعية والسياسية التي شكَّلت تجربتها الاستثنائية، كما ناقش الحضور في أجواء ثرية أبرز الرسائل التي يحملها الكتاب للأجيال الجديدة، خاصة من النساء والشباب.
يروي كتاب “امرأة من صعيد مصر” رحلة السفيرة مرفت تلاوي منذ طفولتها في بيت والدها العمدة في صعيد مصر، حيث تربت في كنف التقاليد والعادات المصرية الأصيلة، وتعلمت أصول المسئولية والالتزام. وتكشف في مذكراتها عن شغفها المبكر بالتعليم وإصرارها على الالتحاق بالجامعة في القاهرة، رغم رفض والدها في البداية سفر البنات؛ إذ حصلت على شهادة التوجيهية ثلاث مرات بنجاح حتى أقنعته بحقها في استكمال تعليمها.
وتسرد السفيرة رحلتها في الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، وتفوقها الأكاديمي ومشاركتها في الأنشطة الطلابية، ثم انتقالها إلى العمل في وكالة أنباء الشرق الأوسط، قبل أن تجتاز امتحان الالتحاق بوزارة الخارجية المصرية، لتصبح من أوائل السيدات اللاتي التحقن بالسلك الدبلوماسي المصري؛ حيث لفتت الأنظار منذ بداياتها.
وتتتبع المذكرات مسيرتها كسفيرة لمصر في النمسا واليابان، وممثلة لدى وكالة الطاقة النووية، وملحقية الأمم المتحدة في جنيف، إضافة إلى المناصب الرفيعة التي شغلتها داخل الأمم المتحدة. كما تُوثِّق تجربتها كأول رئيسة للمجلس القومي للمرأة عام 2000، ثم عودتها لرئاسته في الفترة ما بين عامي 2011 و2016، ومواجهتها التحديات التي أحاطت بالمرأة المصرية في تلك المرحلة، وصولًا إلى رئاستها لمنظمة المرأة العربية بين عامي 2016 و2020.
ومن أبرز المحطات التي تناولها الكتاب تعيينها وزيرة للتضامن الاجتماعي في أواخر التسعينيات، وخوضها معركة الحفاظ على أموال المعاشات، في واحدة من أهم المعارك التي جسَّدت انحيازها الدائم للعدالة الاجتماعية وحقوق المواطنين.
وفي كلمتها خلال الحفل، أكدت الأستاذة داليا إبراهيم، رئيس مجلس إدارة دار نهضة مصر للنشر، على أهمية توثيق مثل هذه التجارب الملهمة، قائلة:
“إن سيرة السفيرة مرفت تلاوي ليست مجرد قصة نجاح شخصية، بل هي شهادة حية على قدرة المرأة المصرية على كسر الحواجز وصناعة التأثير في أصعب الظروف. في نهضة مصر نُؤمِّن أن توثيق هذه المسارات الوطنية هو جزء من دورنا في بناء وعي الأجيال الجديدة، وتقديم نماذج حقيقية تعكس قيمة الإصرار والعمل والانتماء”.
وأضافت أن الكتاب يمثل إضافة نوعية للمكتبة العربية، لما يحمله من صدق وجرأة في سرد التحولات الاجتماعية والسياسية التي شهدتها مصر، من منظور امرأة كانت في قلب صناعة القرار محليًّا ودوليًّا.
وقد شهدت الأمسية تفاعلًا واسعًا من الحضور الذين أشادوا بالكتاب باعتباره وثيقة مهمة في تاريخ العمل الدبلوماسي والنسوي في مصر، ومصدر إلهام لكل من يسعى إلى إحداث أثر حقيقي في مجتمعه.
