حقق فريق مودرن سبورت مواليد 2008 لقب كأس مصر بعد الفوز على فريق القناة فى المباراة النهائية من مسابقة كأس مصر بركلات الترجيح بنتيجة 3-1 بعد انتهاء الوقت الأصلي من المباراة بالتعادل السلبي بدون أهداف.
واستطاع فريق مودرن سبورت تسجيل 3 ركلات ترجيح عن طريق يوسف شاكر ويوسف ليلة وأحمد سعيد فيما تصدى الحارس آدم هشام لثلاثة ركلات ترجيح ليتوج فريق مودرن سبورت 2008 بلقب كأس مصر.
من جانبه أبدى محمد عبد الله المدير الفني للفريق سعادته عقب حصد لقب بطولة كأس مصر، وقال عبد الله عقب المباراة: الحمد لله على الفوز، أداء مميز، الجميع كان على قدر كبير من المسئولية.
