التقى المهندس كريم بدوي، وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية، السيد فرانك فيتسل، سكرتير الدولة بوزارة الشئون الاقتصادية والطاقة بألمانيا؛ لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك بين البلدين في مجال الطاقة، ودفع العمل والاستثمار في مجالات الغاز الطبيعي والطاقة الخضراء وتكنولوجيا الطاقة.
شارك في اللقاء الدكتور محمد البدري، سفير مصر لدى ألمانيا، والمهندس محمود عبد الحميد، العضو المنتدب التنفيذي للشركة المصرية القابضة للغازات الطبيعية “إيجاس”.
وخلال الاجتماع، أكد الجانبان على عمق العلاقات المصرية الألمانية على مختلف المستويات، وأهمية العمل على تنميتها وتعزيزها لتوسيع التعاون في مجالات الغاز والطاقة الخضراء ونقل التكنولوجيا وبناء القدرات البشرية.
واستعرض الوزير ما تشهده صناعة الغاز والبترول في مصر من تطورات وإجراءات لتحفيز الاستثمار، مؤكداً أن هناك فرصاً واعدة في مجال البحث عن الغاز الطبيعي وصناعات القيمة المضافة والبتروكيماويات، إلى جانب التوسع في استخدام التكنولوجيا الحديثة لزيادة الإنتاج وخفض التكاليف، وكذلك برامج الاستدامة البيئية وخفض الانبعاثات الكربونية؛ بما يمثل ركائز أساسية لتعميق التعاون مع الجانب الألماني.
كما كما أشار إلى اهتمام قطاع البترول المصري بتدريب الكوادر وبناء القدرات البشرية، وإمكانية نقل الخبرات الألمانية في هذا المجال.
وأشاد الوزير بالتعاون الناجح مع الجانب الألماني خلال الزيارات المتبادلة العام الماضي.
واتفق الجانبان على مواصلة دراسة سبل تعزيز التعاون ونقل الخبرات خلال الفترة المقبلة.
