استقبل السيد/ وليد جمال الدين، رئيس الهيئة العامة للمنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس، اليوم، بمقر الهيئة بالعاصمة الجديدة، سعادة السفير/ عبد الله بن ناصر الرحبي، سفير سلطنة عُمان لدى جمهورية مصر العربية، وذلك لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي والاستثماري بين الجانبين، واستعراض الفرص الاستثمارية التي تتيحها المنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس، وبحث سبل التعاون في القطاعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وذلك بحضور عدد من القيادات التنفيذية بالهيئة. 
وخلال اللقاء، أكد السيد/ وليد جمال الدين أن المنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس تمثل نموذجًا متكاملًا يجمع بين 4 مناطق صناعية و6 موانئ بحرية على البحر الأحمر والبحر المتوسط، بما يوفر منظومة متكاملة تربط بين الصناعة والخدمات اللوجستية والتجارة الدولية، ويمنح المستثمرين مزايا تنافسية تدعم الإنتاج والتصدير والوصول إلى الأسواق العالمية. كما استعرض جهود الهيئة في تطوير مناخ الاستثمار، وتبسيط الإجراءات، وتعزيز جاهزية البنية التحتية، بما يسهم في جذب المزيد من الاستثمارات النوعية.
وأضاف السيد/ وليد جمال الدين أن الهيئة تتطلع إلى توسيع التعاون مع الجانب العُماني، والاستفادة من الإمكانات التي يمتلكها البلدان في بناء شراكات استثمارية مستدامة، خاصة في القطاعات ذات الأولوية المشتركة، وفي مقدمتها الصناعة والخدمات اللوجستية والأمن الغذائي، مؤكدًا أن التكامل بين الموانئ والمناطق الصناعية في البلدين يمكن أن يسهم في دعم سلاسل الإمداد، وتعزيز حركة التجارة والاستثمار، وتحقيق قيمة مضافة للاقتصادين المصري والعُماني.
ومن جانبه، أكد سعادة السفير/ عبد الله بن ناصر الرحبي عمق العلاقات الأخوية التي تجمع سلطنة عُمان وجمهورية مصر العربية، مشيرًا إلى أن المرحلة المقبلة تستهدف تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي والاستثماري، بما يتوافق مع مستهدفات رؤية عُمان 2040، التي ترتكز على قطاعات الصناعة، والخدمات اللوجستية، والأمن الغذائي، والسياحة. كما أعرب عن تطلع الجانب العُماني إلى تعزيز التواصل بين مجتمعَي الأعمال في البلدين، وتنظيم زيارات ولقاءات لرجال الأعمال والشركات للتعرف على الفرص الاستثمارية المتاحة، وبناء شراكات جديدة تسهم في دعم العلاقات الاقتصادية وتحقيق المصالح المشتركة.
