ووقع المذكرة عن اتحاد وكالات أنباء دول منظمة التعاون الإسلامي المدير العام الأستاذ محمد بن عبد ربه اليامي، فيما وقعها عن اتحاد الإعلاميين الأفريقي الآسيوي رئيس الاتحاد الأستاذ نزار الخالد.
وتهدف المذكرة إلى توسيع آفاق التعاون في مجالات التدريب الإعلامي، وتبادل الخبرات والدراسات، وتنظيم المؤتمرات والندوات وورش العمل، وتبادل المحتوى الإعلامي، وتعزيز التنسيق في تغطية الفعاليات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
كما تنص المذكرة على تنفيذ برامج مشتركة لاكتشاف وتأهيل الإعلاميين الشباب، والاستفادة من تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي في تطوير المحتوى الإعلامي، وإنتاج مواد إعلامية مشتركة تعزز قيم السلام والتسامح والتعايش، وتسهم في مكافحة الأخبار المضللة وخطاب الكراهية
