في إطار الجهود الأمنية المكثفة لوزارة الداخلية لملاحقة العناصر الإجرامية والخارجين على القانون،
نجحت الأجهزة الأمنية بمحافظة سوهاج في تصفية “عصفور درويش عزب” الشهير بخط الصعيد الجديد، والمطلوب في قضايا متعددة، وذلك خلال تبادل لإطلاق النيران مع قوات الشرطة بمركز العسيرات.
وأكدت المصادر الأمنية أن العنصر المذكور كان يتزعم مجموعة مسلحة ويمثل خطرًا كبيرًا على الأمن العام، وقد باءت محاولاته للهروب بالفشل بعد محاصرته، ليُلقى مصرعه في المواجهة.
تأتي هذه العملية تأكيدًا لهيبة الدولة وحرصها على فرض سيادة القانون، وحماية أرواح المواطنين من خطر العناصر الخارجة على القانون.
ارتياح واسع بين أهالي سوهاج والعسيرات لهذه الضربة الأمنية الناجحة، مطالبين بمواصلة الحملات لضبط كل من تسول له نفسه العبث بأمن الوطن والمواطن.
