من أدواره المشهورة دوره الشرير الكوميدي في فيلم ابن حميدو .. البلطجي في صراع في النيل.. دور “الباشكاتب” في على باب الوزير.. الندل اللذيذ في موعد مع إبليس وألمظ وعبده الحامولي”..
ظهر الفنان توفيق الدقن في بداية حياته العمليه في دور الإنسان الطيب “خباب” في فيلم ظهور الإسلام من تأليف عميد الأدب العربي، كانت بداية مختلفة جدا عن جميع الأدوار التي قدمها واشتهر بها فيما بعد..
الفنان توفيق الدقن كان يتمتع بالعديد من المواهب الأخري غير موهبة التمثيل، فهو كان يتمتع بجمال خطه، وجمال صوته، ودقة مخارج الألفاظ والكلمات، هذا غير انه قبل دخوله المجال الفني كان لاعب كرة قدم موهوب..
ولد الفنان توفيق الدقن في ٣ مايو بمحافظة المنوفية، ورحل عن عالما في ٢٦ نوفمبر عام ١٩٨٨، تاركا إرث فني كبير وصل إلى أكثر من ٤٠٠ عمل فني متنوع بين الدراما والسينما والمسرح والإذاعة منها نحو ١٢ فيلما تم اختيارها ضمن أفضل ١٠٠ فيلم في تاريخ السينما المصرية..
