لمدة خمس سنوات سابقة كانت النائبة ايربن عضواً بلجنة الصحة بمجلس النواب ونائب لرئيس الهيئة البرلمانية لحزب الإصلاح والتنمية
كما انها كانت بالدورة المنقضية عضو اللجنة الخاصة لدراسة برنامج الحكومة وعضو الاتحاد الدولي لبرلمانات العالم و عضو جمعية الصداقة المصرية المجرية بالمجلس
تقدّمت النائبة ايرين بتعديلات تمت الموافقة عليها في الجلسة العامة على أكثر من 40 قانونًا في مجالات محورية، من أبرزها: قانون التخطيط العام للدولة، قانون المسؤولية الطبية، قانون الإجراءات الجنائية، وغيرها.
وشغلت قبل عملها البرلماني منصب أخصائي صيدلي ومراقب جودة بالهيئة العامة للتأمين الصحي بالقليوبية، وأخصائي صيدلي بالإدارة المركزية لهيئة الدواء المصرية
الي جانب بكالوريوس الصيدلة – جامعة القاهرة، حصلت النائبة ايرين علي درجة ماجستير إدارة الأعمال (تخصص إدارة استراتيجية) من الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا.
