التقى الدكتور أشرف صبحي، وزير الشباب والرياضة، بالسيد أحمد علي بري، سفير جمهورية جيبوتي لدى مصر والمندوب الدائم لجيبوتي لدى جامعة الدول العربية، لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي في مجالي الشباب والرياضة بين البلدين، وذلك بحضور عدد من المسؤولين، من بينهم المستشار ناصر عبدالله جديدشي، والدكتور أشرف البجيرمي رئيس قطاع الرياضة، والدكتور خالد مسعود رئيس قطاع الشباب، والدكتور عمرو حداد رئيس الإدارة المركزية للتنمية الرياضية، والسفير عبد المنعم الشاذلي، رانيا سامي مدير عام الإدارة العامة للعلاقات الدولية والاتفاقيات.
وخلال اللقاء، أكد الجانبان على أهمية توطيد العلاقات بين مصر وجيبوتي في مجالات الرياضة المختلفة، خاصة في ألعاب كرة القدم وكرة السلة والسباحة، مع الاستفادة من الخبرات المصرية في مجال التدريب. كما تمت مناقشة آليات تبادل الخبرات والزيارات بين البلدين.
ووجه الجانب الجيبوتي دعوة وفد مصري لزيارة جيبوتي والتعرف على فرص التعاون المشترك. كما طلب السفير تبادل الدعم بين المرشحين المصري والجيبوتي في الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم (فيفا).
أكد وزير الشباب والرياضة على تميز مصر في لعبة الكاراتيه، حيث حصلت على المركز الأول عالميًا، ودعا الجانب الجيبوتي للاستفادة من الخبرات المصرية في هذا المجال. كما شدد على أهمية تطوير الكوادر الرياضية وإقامة لجنة مشتركة لتنظيم ورش عمل وتحديد برامج زمنية لتبادل الخبرات في الرياضات المختلفة.
واشار وزير الشباب والرياضة على أهمية التبادلات الشبابية لاكتساب الخبرات، ودعوة الشباب الجيبوتي للمشاركة في “منحة ناصر” والبرامج التدريبية الشبابية التي تنظمها مصر.
ومن جانبه اكد السفير الجيبوتي إلى قوة اللاعبين الناشئين في بلاده في رياضات كرة القدم والسلة والسباحة، معربًا عن رغبة بلاده في توقيع مذكرات تفاهم لتعزيز التعاون في مجالي الشباب والرياضة، وهو ما لاقى ترحيبًا من الجانب المصري الذي أكد على سرعة البدء في إجراءات الإعداد لهذه المذكرات.
كما أشار السفير الجيبوتي إلى محاولات بلاده تطوير البنية التحتية الرياضية في جيبوتي، ودعا الوزير سفير جمهورية جيبوتي لزيارة المصنع والاطلاع على إمكانياته.
