يعقد البرلمان العربي مؤتمره السابع لرؤساء المجالس والبرلمانات العربية بمقر الأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية بالقاهرة في 22 فبراير الجاري، وذلك بمشاركة عربية برلمانية واسعة.
ويتصدر جدول أعمال المؤتمر موضوعه الرئيسي بشأن بلورة موقف برلماني عربي موحد لدعم صمود الشعب الفلسطيني على أرضه ورفض مقترحات التهجير القسري للشعب الفلسطيني، حيث من المقرر أن تصدر عن المؤتمر خطة تحرك برلمانية عربية موحدة تتضمن عددًا من الخطوات التي يمكن أن يقوم بها البرلمانيون العرب دعمًا للقضية الفلسطينية في هذه المرحلة الخطيرة التي تواجه فيها مخططات تصفيتها.
كما يناقش المؤتمر أيضًا موضوع التعايش السلمي على المستويات العربية والإقليمية والدولية، حيث من المقرر أن تصدر عن المؤتمر وثيقة بعنوان “رؤية برلمانية عربية لتحقيق وتعزيز التعايش السلمي”، تتضمن عددًا من المرئيات والمقترحات البرلمانية العربية التي تسهم في تعزيز التعايش السلمي في المجتمعات العربية، وعلى المستويين الإقليمي والعالمي.
ومن المقرر أن يتم عقد المؤتمر هذا العام بإدارة مشتركة مع الاتحاد البرلماني العربي، تعزيزًا لدور الدبلوماسية البرلمانية العربية في خدمة مصالح الشعب العربي والدفاع عن قضاياه.
